Walking down Broadway in NYC we came upon a little boy who was riding this dog like a horse! It was so cute how this dog seemed to be unbothered by it...Love NYC..you never know what you will see! :)

Balboa Park is one of my favorite parks in the country..not only does it have a rich Spanish history but it has a personal history for me.  As a child, my family would take us all for picnics, visit the different museums and I took ballet classes near this building.  These copellas top the Balboa Park theater.

Snuck up on Beau while Brian was telling him a whopper of a story about when he was a kid....you know the one about walking a mile in the snow to school etc. etc.  :)

I was trying to take a picture of the angel in our nativity and after taking the picture I noticed my son put a cat toy on the angels head! lol! Had to use this one today! :)

Visit to Mount Vernon Christmas candlelight tour.  Night time pictures are hard to take I'm learning without the flash on which I don't like to use...this was my son watching a blacksmith..fun night!

I was cooking dinner and saw a reflection of reddish orange light come into our living room tonight and I knew it was a "go get the camera" moment...standing on my balcony I took this and later realized there was an airplane flying by as well..thought the sky was gorgeous...

First day of school...again!

My hubby and I went to the historic Drake Hotel in Chicago and stopped in at the Cape Cod restaurant for lunch..the bartender told us that Marylin Monroe and Joe Dimaggio sat at this location when they would stay at the Drake...true? don't know or care it is a romantic story never the less!

Praying Mantis..it was sitting outside of my front door for hours..I think they are creepy!

We stopped at "Buffalo Bills" grave place and museum..He requested to be burried in Colorado because of the  beautiful views at his resting place..this star is on top of where he is burried..thought it was cool looking.

My other love...horses..I was driving down a road on the way to Buffalo Bill's grave site and pulled off to the side when I saw these beautiful horse running and playing near a mountain.. happy!

Red Rocks at Garden of the gods, Colorado...breathtaking! I had a hard time with capturing the right amount of light with my distant shots..played around with the A & S and lenses..any advice for future distant mountain shots? Thanks!
